Disney Princess Question

What do you think of "The Princess And The Frog" ?

I just watched the movie yesterday, and i found it a great movie, i couldn't stop laughing, i was afraid at the beaning that it wont be like the others (i mean the drawings) but it looks like Aladdin but in more modern way, and i love it, i missed the cute characters, like the king at Cinderella and Belle's fathers, but it was okay, 'cause the character are very clever created, it's Of course my LEAST fave movie of Disney princesses movies, i found the love between them is a little bit shallow, i mean it's the only Disney movie that i didn't cry at the end, it's not moving like the others, It is a really funny movie, and the prince is very flawed, so it makes him real, but i mean come on, he's arrogant and has no sense of responsibility and spoiled, although the wonderful moments that the movie has, but still .. it's not like the others, and not in a good way, it's not classical.
Tiana is now a Disney princess and i think it's a great add, the movie is amazing, i loved the music and the characters are really smart, the movie made with smartness and advance, i just loved the details, the movie has a LOT of cute details, the drawings, the background, and like Aladdin, the drawings are uuummmmm ... like a little bit overrated, like the waist of Jasmine and Aladdin is too thin, you know different from the old ones, not a bad thing, just saying that.
I know this movie is a total outcast from the others, like the main thing is that Tiana wants to live a fairytale, she dreams of it, she knows all the stories about TLM, BATB, Cinderella and the others, some how she's not a part of them, they lived the fairytale, practically made the meaning of fairytales, and she just lived it.
She's still a big plus for me, having a completely different princess between them is great.
well, like i said, it's a great movie, i couldn't stop laughing, it's just not Ariel and Eric, It's not Belle and the Beast, non Pocahontas and John Smith, it's not them, i can't consider them one of those
What do you think of "The Princess And The Frog" ?

"continued" i couldn't believe the love between them, i HATED it, i know some of you will say " It's more realistic, at least they had enough time with each other to fall in love " well that's the point, Disney Princesses is all about love from first sight and living happily ever after, they fell in love so quickly after they hate each other, it's like a NEW modern romantic American movie, that's not special

"continued" Don't get me wrong, i loved the movie, the direction, the characters, the visual effects, the magic. but after i watched it, she's not my fave princess, he's not my fave prince, and it's Definitely not my fave movie, it's above a lot of movies but not above other Disney's movies

I admit, when I first heard that Disney was making a new Princess movie, I wasn't exactly thrilled. I always go to the theatre to see new Disney movies, but didn't go to see Princess and the Frog. When it came out on DVD I decided to buy it, for my Disney movie collection that I am making for my future children :) After I watched it for the first time, I thought it was "ok", but definitely couldn't hold a candle to classics like Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, or Mulan. But after time and after watching it a few more times I've come to love it. It just took a little time for me. I'm not crazy about it being set in a more modern time, but it makes it different from all the rest. I loved that it was set in the south (being a southerner myself), loved their accents and the jazz music. I am in LOVE with Naveen. Wow. Tiana took more time to warm up to, but I adore her now. All in all, I think it's a very good movie, not Disney's best, but still a great film to watch.

It was a while since I watched that movie, but I remember when I first saw this banner, I had thought that Tiana wouldn't fit in the Disney Princesses catergory.... I don't know how to explain how I am thinking, I can only conclude with this: I think her movie is a little different than to the others, in a way.

I completely disagree. I LOVE Tiana and Naveen, and I'm glad they're in the lineup. They deserve to be there just as much as the others, and I love Tiana and her story. I also disagree with you saying it;s not moving like the others- most people I know cried like a baby when Ray died, and cried even more of happiness when he became a star and got to be with Evangeline. I loved Tiana & Naveen's love story. Tiana is now my third favorite princess, and Naveen is my second favorite prince. I love that the change each other, unlike in BatB where Beast was tho only one that really needed to change. It's the first movie I felt for in a very long time. To me it;s full of all the Disney magic it could ever need.

i loved when Ray died and became a star with Evangeline, i though this scene is prfect, and like i said, i'm more than happy because there is a new princess, and the movie is full of magic, but i find it kinda a funny movie or Rom-Com more than a fairytale, thanks for your opinion ^^

I got this on DVD a few months back and I liked it too, and like you cutediana its my least favourite Disney movie too because the characters are ok but I felt like I was watching Anastasia again as Naveen & Tiana don’t get along at first and then they fall in love with one another, the music was jazzy yet some of the songs are so forgettable, the plot was like Cats don’t dance with the music and Swan princess with the fake Naveen marrying Charlotte and Tiana thinks that the fake Naveen is the real Naveen(aka Lawrence who is a dead ringer to Nathanial from the 2007 Disney movie Enchanted),the villian for this movie was so creepy and dark he was like Barack Obama for some strange reason LOL(im not discriminating your president in the USA but he was like him in a way),and lets not forget the death scene which was the worst ever I mean COME ON all that happened was that Tiana got the talisman threw it on the ground all the shadows kill Dr Faciller and he turns into stone as he is dragged into hell.

As well as this the ending was too quick. What really bugs me is that she is added to this spot even though she isn’t a princess (she is a waitress who dreams of opening up her own restaurant in New Orleans) and Giselle from Enchanted isn’t added. Sure Tiana married a prince & Giselle didn’t but why can’t she not be added to this spot. Its just so unfair. Anyway back to PATF I liked the romance between Tiana & Naveen but the old Disney movies like The Little Mermaid,Aladdin,Pocahuntas(another film that is my least fav),The Lion King etc are the best. Now you’ve got computer-generated crap and 3D movies. Grrr I hate the 21st century today it sucks for the movies.

WILL YOU QUIT IT WITH THE FREAKING GISELLE ALREADY?! She didn't marry a prince, Disney Didn't put her in the lineup, build a bridge and get OVER it. I'm sorry, but every topic someone puts up can't sudddenly lead to you complaining about Giselle's non-princess status. It's getting VERY annoying. Oh, and just because it has Jazz music doesn't mean it's copying Cats Don't Dance. What, Disney can't do jazz?

I'm fine. I already said I overracted a little. LisaForde, did you seriously STALK my page to see if I was on those two spots? I love Enchated and Giselle, but this just isn't the place to talk about it. This is obviously the DP spot, and complaining isn't going to get Giselle here. I don't know why that's so hard to understand. I'm not bullying you (again, the abuse of capslock in my first comment was overkill, sorry). I'm just trying to explain myself, and why it annoys me so much that you do this. I've been on fanpop for months now and haven't said a word to you about this, althogh others have. I'm just tired of it- hearing the same rant in your comments is getting old. Sorry if what I'm saying offends you, but this is my honest opinion and I'm not going to sugar coat it after having been silent for so long.
